🌈 Pride Kick-Off with the YRP “We Belong Breakfast”
On June 3, 2025, York Regional Police hosted their annual We Belong Breakfast, raising the Progress Pride Flag to mark the official start of Pride Month. It was a powerful reminder that everyone—no matter their identity—belongs. Haus of Devereaux’s continued partnership in this event celebrates inclusivity and sends a message: our communities are stronger when everyone is invited to the table.
Pride Day at the EG Artisan & Farmers Market
Just two days later, on June 5, 2025, the Haus took center stage at the EG Artisan & Farmers Market’s Pride Day. A joyous blend of drag story time (held in collaboration with the local library) and a dazzling performance by the Haus, it was a community-infused celebration where creativity and pride met. From storytelling to spectacle, the day embodied what Pride is all about—visibility, joy, and cultural connection.
Why These Moments Matter
Storytelling is powerful
The drag story time at the library created a safe space for kids and families to explore diversity and expression through words and performance.
Art brings people together
The performance at the market united attendees under a canopy of music, laughter, and acceptance—showing that drag is art and community is built through shared experiences.
Visibility empowers
Seeing the Progress Pride Flag flying high at public events elevates LGBTQIA+ identities and sends a message of belonging and respect.
Celebrating All Month Long
Haus of Devereaux isn’t stopping there: tickets are still available for shows across June—with drag extravaganzas planned at local restaurants and venues. Half-price tickets, open-stage events, and surprise performances ensure there’s something for every kind of Pride reveler.

Pride Month is more than rainbows—it’s a gathering of communities, a celebration of progress, and a call to action to remain visible, vocal, and united.
