When it comes to the Haus of Devereaux! I consider myself their Alfred, the guy in the chair behind the scenes. Im Miguel, Deejay Tis aka Mixx. Ive been working with the Devereaux family since 2017 being the sound tech/dj. Carmen and I have been friends since 2015, and when I found out that he was moving into drag and was joining a family, I offered my help. Being raised by my mom and aunt who are both part of the LGBT+ community, I knew I wanted to give back in some way and show my support in full capacity. I knew offering my DJ services and music experience, even to unpaid shows would benefit the family. Throughout the years I got to watch the family grow from 2 daughters to now 7 children! They might call them selves all sisters and brother, but I’m the cousin! I've enjoyed being part of this family’s journey for most of its growth and I cant wait to see what's next! DJ David Florida got his start playing a residency at the legendary Metropolis Nightclub in Montreal. He went on to hold residencies at Atomic Nightclub in Ottawa multiple times per week and performed at other guest slots and residencies over the years. Currently Florida performs at a wide variety of different types of events, from nightclubs to restaurants, in-store promotions, weddings, fashion shows, kids' parties and adult-themed events.

Making sure the members of the Haus of Devereaux always look their best is Newmarket’s Rita Benz. Rita uses her decades of experience to create beautiful performance costumes for all Haus members demonstrating her ability to work with performers of all shapes and sizes!  It was through her own dance career that her custom costume journey began. As a tall woman, Rita struggled to find dance costumes that fit well, so she began learning techniques through mentorship provided by well known dancers and entertainers. She started designing Spanish Flamenco outfits before branching out to all other genres of dance and theatre.   In 2018, Rita had an opportunity to create a costume for E’Claire Deveraux and through word of mouth has since designed and created 100’s of costumes for drag queens, kings and burlesque performers from Ottawa to London. Rita still creates dance outfits for local schools but loves the opportunity to work with drag performers across southern and central Ontario. She describes the process as tapping into “unlimited creativity” where Rita’s vast experience combines with a performer’s vision resulting in reasonably priced custom fit and designed costumes for everyone. As Justine’s husband and number one fan, Matt works hard behind the scenes for the Haus of Deveraux, creating posters for upcoming events and helping out backstage. When he isn’t zipping up a gown or tying up a shoe, he’s making the queens know who’s on next. He’s even stepped in as DJ last minute a few times because he always knows for a Drag Queen, the show must go on!
